Do you have missing teeth or broken teeth and you want to have your beautiful smile back? Dental implants, crowns, and bridges may be the answer.

Dental Implants

If you are missing teeth, you may want to consider dental implants. An implant is a synthetic root that helps support a replacement tooth, bridge or denture.

Dr. McGlone can replace one tooth or he give you a full mouth of strong, new teeth.

If you don't like bridges or dentures, implants are an excellent choice. They look, feel, and work like natural teeth and they last a long time.

Missing teeth can be embarrassing, and affect your eating, speech, and appearance. It can also leads to bone loss in the jaw, the abnormal shifting of other teeth, and sometimes bite problems.

Dental implants are now considered the standard of care for replacing missing or failing teeth, and can help preserve the bone, and maintain the integrity of the facial structure.

Dr. McGlone can help you with implants that will improve your quality of life and let you smile with confidence.

Crowns

Sometimes a dental crown is needed as a cap placed over the top of a tooth to help restore the tooth.

If your tooth is weak, decayed, broken or chipped, misshaped, or discolored, a dental crown can restore its stability and functionality.

Crowns are basically caps that are sized and shaped to resemble your natural tooth. A crown is formed to fit just like your real tooth because it is formed from impressions of your tooth. Many dental crowns are made of porcelain which can match your real teeth.

Dr. McGlone will place the crown over an existing tooth, which is filed down to hold the crown in place, or a crown can also be held in place with a dental implant. When your crown is in place, your tooth will be stronger and last longer.

Bridges

If you're missing teeth, it can make talking and chewing very difficult, and can also cause other problems over time.

Dr. McGlone may recommend a bridge, which is a partial denture that is connected to two crowns and conceals your missing teeth. It rests on the top of your gums and is like a bridge over the missing teeth. There are removable or partial bridges which can be taken out and cleaned, and there are permanent bridges.

Bridges are important dental care because if left untreated, your other teeth can shift since the missing teeth are not there to hold them in place and it can affect your bite. It can also lead to gum disease or other disorders. Bridges can be made of gold, porcelain, or a combination of porcelain and metal.
